Several common labeling machine breaks and treatment methods

1. There is a crack on the edge of the bottom paper of the label

After the self-adhesive label is die-cut and processed into a product, the backing paper is generally left wider than the label. This is done to facilitate the unveiling of the label when the customer is labeling. In the process of label packaging, transportation and transfer, it is very simple to crack the bottom paper on the edge of the label to form a small crack. The automatic opp labeling machine has a certain tension when labeling, and the label with a crack on the edge of the bottom paper is simply pulled off under the action of the tension, causing the label to break. In addition, the improper adjustment of the rollers on the automatic labeling machine causes the rollers to fracture the bottom paper at the edge of the label to form a labeling break. Generally, the labeling broken belt is formed by the roller crushing the bottom paper, and the crack of the bottom paper is more regular.

Second, the label is rewinding too tightly, which constitutes glue leakage

If the product label is rewinded too tightly, the adhesive in the self-adhesive will be squeezed out, causing the glue to bleed, and the oozing glue will stick to the reverse side of the backing paper, making the entire roll of labels not easy to loosen. This situation is particularly noticeable in summer. Assuming the label is relatively narrow, the tensile strength per unit area of the backing paper will not be too great. The automatic labeling machine has a certain tension during the labeling process. When a roll of labels with bleed-out phenomenon is used for automatic labeling, it is likely that the backing paper from which the label is removed will be broken under the action of the tension of the labeling machine and the tension from the inside of the roll during the labeling process. It constitutes a labeling broken tape. The labeling broken tape constituted by this situation is broken by the pulling force, so the backing paper is cracked irregularly, but the cracked surface is relatively uniform.

Three, poor die cutting

The quality of die-cutting has a great influence on whether it is easy to break the tape during automatic labeling. If the die-cutting pressure is too high, it will cause the bottom paper to be cut through, causing the bottom paper's tensile strength to decrease, and the labeling will break. The cracked surface of the bottom paper of the labeling broken tape caused by poor die-cutting is relatively uniform, and the crack is in the direction of the die-cutting line.

Fourth, the release layer is damaged

Assuming that the release layer of the backing paper (usually the silicone oil layer) is damaged, it will also cause the labeling to break. In the labeling broken tape caused by this situation, the cracked surface of the backing paper is jagged. The reason for the damage of the release layer is the shortcomings of the raw material produced and coated. At the same time, the process of checking and replenishing the standard in the printing factory may also cause the release layer to be scratched due to the improper method.
